Why Koinonia?

Koinonia means 'Fellowship' in New Testament Greek.

This perfectly encapsulates what we are: a fellowship of people who believe that Jesus is our Lord and Saviour and who live to spread this great news and encourage others to do the same.

Our History – Celebrating 30 years

  • The church started in 1996 with a small group of people who wanted to see the Bible being faithfully taught in the town.
  • The church met for many years at the Harris Hall, owned by the local Anglican church. At the end of 2019 we moved to the current location at Endeavour School. This was shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown. In response we, like many churches, started streaming our services online. Since then the church has continued to grow. Don the founding Pastor retired at the end of 2025 as planned and Steve became the new Senior Pastor.
  • In 2026 we celebrated God’s faithfulness to us as a church.
